The artist in me. (about my other artistic aspirations.)

Part 1: musical arts 

okay, so maybe I was a little overboard back there on the "rockstar" thing. more like a bedroom rockstar or a garage band type. ha!

so in the art of music, yours truly is very active as well!   

I have been in a all-girl-rock band when I was in college. we were called the Trez mariaz.


Leah - drums 
Ban - bass  
Me - lead or rhythm and vocals :bademoticon: 

our drummer has more professional experience when it comes to band life because she doesn't only do gigs for fun but also make it out s a living back then. while me, I was sort of an amateur who had musical background because my dad and his family were musicians and singers. so I sorta have a musical bloodline. also, i used to be in the school choir. and lastly, our bassist, well... has no music related experience whatsoever but nonetheless were taught by our leader to play bass. after all she does love to rock anyway... and presto, you get the picture. we became a band! 

but presently since we are busy with our lives, I have decided to continue my musical en devour by means of writing songs, making song covers and etc. the setting is my bedroom-turned-studio hence the term "bedroom rockstar"

well, i guess that concludes my lame attempt of rockstardom.

Part 2: literary arts 

I live and I will die
but my words soar high
written in skies of paper
allowed me to live forever.


I love art. I also like the art of literature. When I don't have work, I do freelance writing for a living. this has been a hobby of mine as well.

sample 1: "Sea of Melancholy"

dedicated to my father.
written last Dec. 1 2014

You may be no longer alive today,

But I wish you can hear me when I say,

That I love and miss you everyday,

And I wish that we'll all be united one day.

There is always this part of me,

Drowning deep in melancholy,

Only you can be that remedy,

But you are just a memory.

Daddy, daddy, I am sick,

Please come to my aid, very quick!

For life's difficulties are growing thick,

Like a ship, I hope I won't sink.

sample 2: "Rendevous"

dedicated to my father again
written last Jan. 26 2015

My mother and my brother will never know,

The amount of tears that always flow

In my eyes as memories increase,

I just know that the pain will never cease.

I feel the gloom is heavily sinking in,

I drown in its depths, poison within.

I can't erase the picture of your hospital bed,

It's carved forever inside of my head.

For some people, death wouldn't matter,

But to me, it does and I miss you, my Father.

So for now, I'll just hold on to heaven's promises,

That someday we'll be together in its premises.

sample 3: "Never ending"

dedicated to my dearest Drew berry  
Written last feb. 6 2015

I'm not sure if this sounds naive
But I hope and pray that we'll achieve
A lifetime of love spent together,
It's something that will surpass forever.

I know romance stands nothing against reality
And it seems like I'm living in a fantasy.
But as long as I'm lying in your arms,
All I'm bound to hear is music, even if they're alarms.

I know these dreams and whims are dust
But I hope our love will not rust.
Even though we live here in this rotting earth
And one day we'll return to its dirt.

All these thoughts made me realize
That all relationships can be criticized
But when people look at us they'll see
That we stand united you and me.

I don't want our love to ever end,
'I love you' is a message I'll repeatedly send.
Every second of our lives should be the beginning
Of another love story that's never ending.

Let's make the best of what's here and now,
And together get through this life somehow.
Hold me dear, like you'll never let go
And repeat everything in this poem tomorrow.
